Anticipation

So, in the further attempt to test my new 100-400mm Telephoto lens I stopped by the Western North Carolina Nature Center. They keep some cool animals here, Bobcat, Cougar, Bears, Hellbender [it's a real creature], River otters, Red Pandas, Turkey Vulture, Great Horned Owl, Grey, and Red Foxes, Grey and Red Wolves! So, most of the time the animals are resting, not doing too much... I lucked out, because it was feeding time for the Red Wolves. So I got to watch them race around their enclosures and tear into some stuff... while rolling around like goof balls. The joy in this moment was palpable, watching the relationship between the keepers and the animals. One might mistake the wolves here for large dogs, but momentary glimpses into their wild nature was ever present.
